The club portal has a name: Grip op Sport

A site of its own in eleven languages, short videos per feature and the first club on board

I wrote earlier about the club portal for sports clubs I am building: one system for members, classes, tournaments, fees and a club's own website. That portal now has a name and a home of its own: Grip op Sport.

On gripopsport.nl you can read what the software does, who it is for and how to book a demo. And as it should be, the site itself is built with Grip op Sport, using the same page builder every club gets.

In eleven languages, right to left included

Sports clubs are international. Grip op Sport works in Dutch, English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Arabic and Chinese, and so does the site. Arabic reads from right to left, so the whole layout mirrors along. Even the screenshots have a version per language: a German visitor sees the portal with German screens.

Showing instead of explaining

The Showcases page has eight short videos, each under a minute: volunteers signing up for a shift, a competition day with jury table and public scoreboard, attendance with QR check-in, progress and lesson plans, invoices, the club website and lending equipment.

Those videos were not made by hand. A Playwright script clicks through an example club with made-up members, adds title cards, highlights and speech bubbles, and records everything. It switches the screens per language, so every video exists in eleven versions: 88 videos in total. When the software changes, I simply record them again.

Everything in one list

If you want to know exactly what is possible, All features has the complete list: from member administration and documents to carpooling to away games. And for anyone who wants to connect Grip op Sport to other software, there is an open API with webhooks and a connection for AI assistants. More on Partners and integrators.

The first club

De Judoschool, with locations in Borne, Haaksbergen, Hengelo, Markelo, Wierden and Zwolle, was the first club to start working with Grip op Sport.

Software that grows along

Grip op Sport keeps being developed. When a club misses something for its sport, I build it, and if it is within reason, it is included in the price. How that works is described in Software that grows with your sport.
